    What Does “Donation Ready” Mean?

    • “Would I feel comfortable giving this item to a friend or family member?”
    • “Would I purchase this item from a thrift store?”
    • “Are all cords in good shape? Good working order?”
    • If the answer is yes, we would be happy to receive it!

    Please ensure donations are:

    • Clean and freshly laundered, where appropriate
    • Free from stains, tears, excessive wear, pet hair and strong odours
    • Complete, with no missing or broken pieces, In good working condition
    • Safe and suitable for resale, In season where possible

Please do not donate items that are broken, heavily worn, stained, soiled, mouldy or otherwise unsuitable for resale. Disposing of unusable donations creates an additional cost for the Society and takes resources away from our mission.

This is a wonderful time to look through your closets, cupboards, bookshelves and storage areas for quality items you no longer use. Your donations will help us manage a welcoming, affordable community thrift store while supporting the important work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

As a general rule, we will not have a children’s section in the store (clothing). We will have a section of books and games for kids. If you would like to donate children’s items, we will love to have them to include in our Christmas shopping inventory and for an annual sale at Spring break/Easter.

Please note: due to strict regulations regarding children’s items, we can not accept cribs, strollers, car seats or bike helmets.
